RPG 25 July 2017
A unique tactical RPG from independent American studio Supergiant Games. The story of Pyre is set in a mysterious land called Downside, which is a variation on the Christian idea of purgatory. The main protagonist is rescued by a trio of masked travelers, who ask him to help them in unveiling the truth about the so-called Rites – an unusual competition, in which the winners can earn pardon for their sins and be freed from Downside. Pyre’s gameplay contains two fundamental parts. We travel in a special coach that is also used to manage our companions and make decisions that affect the land and its inhabitants. However, there is another and more important part of the game, in form of skirmishes we take part in, which combines features of MOBA and sport titles. A team of three characters must get a hold of a special ball and take it to enemy’s base.
RPG 15 August 2017
An old-school RPG from the independent developer Toby Fox, referencing the Earthbound series. Undertale's story takes place in a world that was witness to a lengthy, cruel war between humans and monsters after a long period of coexistence between both races. It ended with humans driving the monsters underground. Many years later, somewhere in the vicinity of the now-legendary mount Ebott, a little girl looking for shelter from the rain finds a cave and in it a mysterious hole, through which she falls. We play as this girl and explore the underground world, facing various monsters and interacting with various characters. The game’s most characteristic feature is the innovative battle system – we can engage in direct combat in the form of arcade minigames or avoid more difficult fights through talking and complimenting.
The Escapists 2 (PS4)
Simulation Tuesday, 22 August 2017
A sequel to the 2015 game by Mouldy Toof which was a unique arcade 2D platformer with elements of logic and RPG productions. In The Escapist 2, the players assume the role of inmates locked up in heavily-guarded prisons, and their task is to work out the security system and to escape. To do so, we have to look for allies and items that can be crafted into useful tools while pretending that we tend to our usual prison routines. Compared to the original, the game features a myriad of enhancements such as new ways of spending spare time, a modified combat system, a possibility of creating previously unavailable items, and new ways of escaping. One of the biggest novelties is the introduction of a drop in/drop out multiplayer mode in which up to four players can play on a split screen or over the Internet.
Detroit: Become Human (PS4)
An action-adventure game set in a science-fiction world, created by developers from the French studio Quantum Dreams – creators of such games as Fahrenheit, Beyond: Two Souls and the bestselling Heavy Rain. Detroit: Become Human expands on ideas present in the 2012 year’s demo Kara, which depicted a female android developing human emotions. The game takes place in the futuristic version of Detroit, where humanoid robots are a common sight. But the main protagonist – the android Kara – is special, as she is the only one possessing real human feelings. Those emotions are what drives her to learn more about herself and other robots, and if it’s possible – to shape her own future. With the help of players, of course.
Beyond: Two Souls (PS4)
Adventure 24 November 2015
A thriller movie-inspired action adventure game. The game was developed by French studio Quantic Dream, creators of such hits as Heavy Rain and Fahrenheit. The plot of Beyond: Two Souls shows fifteen years of life of Jodie Holmes (who is modeled after and voice acted by Ellen Page, Oscar nominee). Since birth, the woman was connected to Aiden, an incorporeal creature that ventured into our world. The game is considered an “interactive drama” as it focuses mostly on storytelling, moral choices, and the cinematic experience. The developers from Quantic Dream took care to deliver high-quality, photorealistic graphics, sound effects, and animations created using the motion capture technology.
Worms W.M.D (PS4)
Strategy 23 August 2016
Another major installment in the bestselling turn-based strategy game series that focus on a humorous rivalry between the eponymous worms. In Worms WMD, the basic gameplay principles remain unchanged, and the players still have to eliminate the opposite team using a number of more or less unconventional weapons. The participants make their moves in turns and their actions are limited by a time limit. The game refers to the initial two-dimensional installments of the series, which means that battles are presented from the classical side view. The title does not lack for several enriching novelties, though. These include the possibility to hide inside buildings and to use vehicles that allow us to traverse the battlefield and deal damage to the enemy. Visually, the production features the characteristic cartoonish visual style, although the worms’ appearance and animation were refreshed.
The Escapists (PS4)
Simulation 26 May 2015
A prisoner simulator that combines features of many genres. It was developed by Mouldy Toof in cooperation with Team 17 Software. The player assumes the role of a prisoner who leads a “normal” life in one of several available penitentiary facilities. The main objective of the game is to plan a way of escaping from the prison. In addition to participating in a series of daily activities like various works, workouts, meals, walks and interactions with other prisoners, the player is also gathering seemingly useless items, looking for allies and observing his surroundings in order to find weak points of security systems. The final phase is to use the previously prepared plan and escape. The Escapist offers great freedom of acting and many ways of escaping depending on prison style (among which there is for example a military prison camp). The game offers retro pixel-art two-dimensional graphics presented from a top-down perspective.
Action 03 March 2015
Helldivers is an arcade cooperative science fiction shooter developed by Arrowhead, creators of the humorous action RPG Magicka. The game takes place in a distant future where players take the roles of the members of the elite Helldivers unit whose job is to protect the politically divided planet known as Super Earth. It was attacked by three alien races. Players have to finish procedurally generated missions in order to save mankind. Before we start, we can choose up to four special abilities for our unit. As we progress, we get new weapons and upgrades. Missions take place in tours that last for a couple of weeks. The game's campaign (which can be finished in single player mode) is the same for the game's entire community, so the successes and failures of other players influence the story's outcome.
ATV Renegades (PS4)
Racing 18 April 2017
A game which gives an opportunity to ride ATVs while participating in insane racing events all over the globe. Developed by Nighthawk Interactive, ATV Renegades brings both competition for the best position on the finish line, and the highest score in points rewarding the player for performing spectacular tricks. A classic career-like mode - the World Tour, constitutes the core element of the experience, but the game also offers quick races, as well as the aforementioned freestyle contests. It is worth mentioning that the in-game vehicles differ in their statistics and performances; as for the rider, the player can customize their appearance to their liking. What is a big advantage of the game, ATV Renegades offers a local multiplayer opportunity to challenge another player for a split-screen duel. Unfortunately however, the game's visuals are far from satisfactory and can be considered average-quality at best.
Spider-Man: Homecoming VR (PS4)
Action 30 June 2017
Spider-Man: Homecoming VR is an arcade action game developed by Sony Picutres Virtual Reality as a part of the promotional campaign for the Spider-Man: Homecoming film. In the end we will be forced to face him. The game is made of a series of challenges that test our aim, reflexes, and observation. We will be using all kinds of spider web while doing them. We use it to shoot at static and moving objects, move and throw environmental objects, and travel around the roofs of New York’s skyscrapers. We observe the action from a first-person perspective. Spider-Man: Homecoming VR is a virtual reality game that requires VR goggles to be playable and is free-to-play.
NBA Playgrounds (PS4)
Sports 09 May 2017
NBA Playgrounds is an arcade sports game inspired by the NBA Street game series. It was developed by Saber Interactive, a studio mostly known for their futuristic first-person shooters like TimeShift and Inversion. In NBA Playgrounds, players take part in basketball matches. Even though the gameplay is based on classic rules, it has not much to do with reality. The players can jump incredibly high and do various tricks during those jumps. Nonetheless, mastering all of the game's twists, turns and moves takes some time. It has to be mentioned that the developers managed to acquire the official NBA license. Thanks to that, we can play as both current and old NBA stars. As we win, the players get new abilities, which allows them to do more complicated sport stuns. NBA Playgrounds can be played both in single player and multiplayer modes. The game has characteristic cartoonish visuals. Characters available in the game are caricatures of sorts of the real NBA players, and various lighting effects are present during our matches. All of this goes well with NBA Playground's gameplay.
Rock of Ages II: Bigger and Boulder (PS4)
Strategy 28 August 2017
A sequel to the hybrid of a strategy and action game. Similarly as the first title, it was created by ACE Team. The gameplay mechanics are mostly based on the first game in the series and are focused on competition between the players. Each player has a castle that they must protect. The castles are connected by a long, winding path. In each round one side of the conflict controls a giant ball and tries to use it to break through the gate of the enemy fortress. The opponent is trying to position his troops and buildings in such way that he stops or at least slows down the rock. Rock of Ages II: Bigger & Boulder allows up to four players split into two teams to compete. The title allows the player to modify the banners and costumes of units, introduces new soldier and rock types, and offers new maps that reference various historical periods. Unreal Engine 4 technology provides high-quality graphics.

Sports 24 March 2016
A spin-off of the series of fighting games developed by Team Ninja. Only female characters from the main series appear in this game. The mechanics of Dead or Alive: Xtreme 3 are completely different than the ones in the fighting games – it is a compilation of several arcade minigames. Each of these minigames has completely different principles. The player can participate in beach volleyball duels that – despite being based on real rules – are purely action based. Rock climbing requires the player to press (in correct order) the buttons appearing on the screen. Among other available modes there are card game and beach running. As the player proceeds through the game, they unlock new content like costumes for the female characters. In addition to that, the girls can participate in various other activities like dating and taking pictures in Photo Paradise mode.

Table Top Racing: World Tour offers six main race types as part of the singleplayer campaign called Championship Mode. In addition to that, the game contains more than eighty challenges and a multiplayer with eight racing modes. Table Top Racing: World Tour features colorful, three-dimensional graphics with backgrounds that are unorthodox for a racing game, and an electronic soundtrack composed by Wes Smith.
Solstice Chronicles: Missing in Action (PS4)
A continuation to the well-received game The Red Solstice, created by the Ironward studio. Contrary to the original game though, Solstice Chronicles is a typical twin-stick shooter inspired by games such as Alienation or Helldivers. The player's task is to eliminate hordes of enemies, obtaining new weapons and developing the character. The story revolves around a mysterious virus that turns humans into bloodthirsty mutants. A handful of survivors have managed to escape from the Earth and find shelter on the surface of Mars, though many things suggest that the threat followed them. The player's goal is to obtain the medicine and stop the epidemic before it spreads on the entire Red Planet. Four character classes differing in their weapons and skills were included in the game. The player gains access to more powerful abilities when they reach higher character levels. The available weaponry includes rifles which can be acquired at any time, as well as special weapons. The so-called "brutal weapons" are significantly more powerful, but their use is greatly limited. The core of Solstice Chronicles: Missing in Action is the campaign, which can be completed solo, or in the split-screen co-op mode.
Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony (PS4)

Once a murder occurs, the gameplay mechanics change and the player focuses on conducting an investigation during which he learns testimonies and statements of various people, he looks for evidence etc.

Due to small size of the levels, battles can end after a few seconds, and the game rewards players with quick fingers, fast reactions and those who strategically use jumps, dodges and also design of arenas. Our avatar can be personalized with hats, animations and sounds that it makes. Duck Game uses two-dimensional visuals, resembling retro productions.
Logic 24 May 2016
An old-school logic game featuring elements of adventure and platformer games. This is the debut of the Triple Eh? studio led by Gareth Noyce. Lumo pays tribute to various games from the 80s and 90s. The gameplay consists of exploring over 400 different chambers, where the player mainly solves puzzles, avoids traps and discovers secrets. The game is played from the classic isometric view, and the player observes only a section of the location they are visiting at a given time - it can be a platform, a room or a corridor suspended in mid-air. It is relatively difficult to make progress in the game. Despite the fact that Lumo makes numerous references to the classics of the genre, it offers modern-day visuals with impressive lighting effects and high-definition textures.
