The game takes place after the events of first movie, and the developers adapted not only the movie's visual style, but also the it's characteristic atmosphere. We play as Amanda, daughter of Ellen Ripley, the main protagonist of the movie. She sets on a journey to find out what happened to her mother after the Nostromo incident.

Like the previous expansion to the game (Safe Heaven), the Lost Contact DLC is a variation of the game’s Survivor Mode. However, in this particular DLC, the player returns to the Sebastopol space station and assumes the role of Axel. Gameplay mechanics build on the exploration of a new map, which now includes private Lorenz quarters and the station’s backup power generator area.

We play as Ricardo, who, along with his supervisor, tries to remove a xenomorph from Sewastopol's deck.
