The third installment in a fantasy game series launched in 2003, which combines elements of RTS and RPG. The title was produced by Grimlore Games, a studio founded by the series’ publisher, which employs some of creators of the first two SpellForce games. Story-wise, SpellForce 3 is a prequel to the previous titles. It is set in times, when this fantasy world was still a vast, unified continent.

An economic strategy game developed by Lion Shield, a team set up by former members of Maxis – the studio behind the SimCity series. In contrast to the aforementioned franchise, Kingdom and Castles is set in a fantasy world. You take the role of the manager of a small village which you are to develop and transform into a thriving city with a castle able to withstand enemy attacks. During gameplay, you need to gather resources necessary for putting up buildings.

A strategic game loosely combining elements of tower defense, RPG, and MOBA. Hero Defense: Haunted Island is the first big project from developer Happy Tuesday. The player takes control of a team composed of five unique characters who are preparing to face the most powerful vampire in the world – Count Necrosis. Before they do that, they have to battle armies of creatures from hell on various arenas. Gameplay consists of fending off waves of enemies coming at you along predefined routes.

Another incarnation of a minimalistic real-time strategy with RPG elements, developed by an independent studio called noio. Like in the original Kingdom for PC Windows and mobile devices, in Kingdom: Two Crowns, the player assumes the role of a king tasked with taking care of his loyal subjects and providing for them. Unlike the original release, in Kingdom: Two Crowns the player can enjoy both single player and cooperative game modes.

A tactical RPG with turn-based combat set in the popular universe of Warhammer. The game is a debut project of the Canadian studio Rogue Factor, founded by veterans of the video game industry. This title is based on a classic tabletop battle game Mordheim, which, in contrast to most of the games set in this universe, did not feature grand battles but small clashes of individual units. The game is set 500 years before the Warhammer’s main story, in the titular Mordheim City.

A strategy-action game co-developed by Mojang Studios and Blackbird Interactive. Minecraft Legends tasks the player with defending the Overworld from the Piglins - invaders from the Nether. The game features a story campaign, co-op and PvP.

The title was created by Polish developer CreativeForge Games, consisting of creators of such franchises like Call of Juarez and Dead Island. The game is set in the 19th-century Wild West. Already troubled by lawlessness, the land gets stricken by a series of supernatural phenomena.

Wartile is an RTS with elements of card and board games. The game takes place in a dark fantasy world inspired by the Norse mythology. We control a party of vikings on a raid. Gameplay focuses on real-time battles between groups of warriors. Each of them has their own strengths and weaknesses, and the key to victory lies in taking advantage of them. Another important gameplay element is the deck of cards built by the players.

A combination of a turn-based strategy and an RPG, developed by Overhype Studios. Battle Brothers takes the player to a medieval-like low-fantasy world, where they become a leader of a mercenary band. The player can have up to 12 fighters under their command, and each of them has a portrait, name and a backstory, apart from a set of features that affect their stats and capabilities on the battlefield.

A turn-based strategy game that takes place in a fantasy world during an interregnum. The story campaign follows the adventures of princess Beyla and prince Tristan. They are fighting for succession after the dead ruler. The title also features a multiplayer mode, in which up to four players can play through the Internet or the hot seat mode.

This is complemented by cards that provide our subordinates with special powers and effects. Immortal Realms: Vampire Wars has three game modes - in addition to the campaign, the Sandbox module and the Skirmish variant are waiting to be tested.

Strategy canceled

A strategy game by Star Drifters, company set up by co-founders of CI Games (Alien Rage, the Sniper: Ghost Warrior series). Driftland: The Magic Revival takes us a fantasy world which broken into drifting pieces of land by a devastating war between mages. A few centuries later the player assumes the role of a mage controlling one of the surviving nations, whose objective is to gradually take control over Driftland and reestablish its lost balance.
