Star Wars: Battlefront II (XONE)
Action 17 November 2017
Star Wars: Battlefront II is a sequel to the 2015 multiplayer FPS game and the fourth game in the cult series that was started eleven years earlier by Pandemic. Unlike the previous game, Battlefront II offers both a complex multiplayer mode and a single player campaign set right after the destruction of the second Death Star. Iden Versio, the game's protagonist and the leader of the Empire's special forces, is given the task of avenging the Emperor. Different studios developed different parts of the game. The single player campaign was created by studio Motive, lead by Jade Raymond. Space battles were created by Criterion, and the multiplayer mode, key element of the game, was developed by DICE. Up to forty players can take part in online battles and play one of the four available classes. Additionally, we can customize characters, vehicles, and gadgets. It is worth mentioning that the game presents more than the original trilogy (episodes IV-VI). We will meet, and play as, heroes from different eras of the Star Wars universe, like Rey and Kylo Ren from The Force Awakens or Darth Maul from The Phantom Menace.

Eliminating the enemies involves use of both rapid-fire cannons and auto-targeting missiles. When fighting, the player must pay attention to how much resources they have left - both fuel and ammunition, as not every mission gives an opportunity to re-fuel the ship and refill ammunition. The game delivers exclusively a single-player experience. The four modes available include the story campaign, the Simulation and the Challenge modes (a series of independent scenarios), and the Instant Action mode. A 2D arcade game with platformer elements, and the debut of the Canadian indie developer Astro Base. During the gameplay we step into the shoes of one of the two operators of a small space station, and it is our task to defend it against consecutive waves of enemy attacks. The missions are played out in randomly generated locations, and the players need to navigate the corridors of the station in order to reach the various control consoles that are located inside them. These consoles will allow us to, e.g. activate the station’s engines, defensive systems and gun emplacements. The production has been designed with a co-op mode for two players in mind, and strict cooperation and coordination between both operators is required in order to achieve success. In cases where a second player is unavailable, they will be replaced by an AI player. One of the most distinguishable qualities of the Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime are the colorful, highly abstract 2D visuals and an old-school, electronic soundtrack.
An action adventure game set in a science-fiction world created by Three One Zero - a studio led by former Microsoft employee, Adam Orth. The hero of the game is an astronaut trying to survive in space after a disaster destroyed his mother station. Core of the gameplay is exploring and solving logical puzzles, which mainly consist of repairing various equipment which allows us to keep ourselves alive in space. As Adr1ft takes place in environment with no gravity, we can move freely in all directions, with the only limitation being the need to replenish our supply of oxygen and the length of the rope ensuring that we won’t float away into open space. We discover the game’s plot mainly through audio diaries, which describe the stories of people who worked on the station and answer the question concerning the cause behind this disaster.

During her adventure players can visit many randomly generated planets and in order to get to them they use a space ship. When we are on planets' surfaces we can, e.g. jump on platforms, drive various vehicles, solve environment puzzles, find resources and fight with enemies. Myrah possesses many useful tools, a diverse range of weapons and a special scanner which is used for finding weapons, ship and suit upgrades. When we are in space we also need to face aggressive enemies. Morphite's graphics are "angular" and the game uses a more cartoony style.
RiftStar Raiders (XONE)
A top-down space shooter game designed specifically to deliver a co-op experience. The creators of the game, Climax Studios, were inspired mainly by titles popular long ago in arcades. The protagonist earns their living by selling valuable pieces of hardware salvaged from destroyed spaceships, oftentimes neutralized by themselves. Everything changes when an AI-controlled alien fleet declares a war on the civilized part of the galaxy. Smelling a great fortune to be made, the protagonist quickly sets out to save the world. The player's goal is to defeat the aliens, but definitely not for free. One flies here in a squad of up to four players. Moving across 2D maps, the player will face countless enemy ships belonging to the aliens, law enforcement, or rivaling pirate gangs. Everyone who stands between the player and valuable loot is the target in the game. Using the hardware collected, the player can create new weapons, shields, and engines, in order to make the ship's capabilities suit one's play-style.
Star Hammer: The Vanguard Prophecy (XONE)
Strategy 25 August 2016

Apart from the campaign, a single player skirmish mode was included. Mechanics-wise, Star Hammer: The Vanguard Prophecy is a 3D tactical space strategy, but compared to its strictly turn-based predecessor, the game is played in the WeGo system - the player gives orders to their units and observes the effects afterwards in real time, still being able to modify the orders in the active pause mode. Several classes of spaceships are at the player's disposal, offering different weaponry and roles to be fulfilled in combat. Different factors influence the course of the battle, such as reconnaissance, selection of units and tactics, or caring for the soldiers' morale.
Starlink: Battle for Atlas (XONE)
Starlink: Battle for Atlas is a science fiction action game developed by Ubisoft. The game takes place in a distant future in the titular Atlas planetary system, a place full of breathtaking alien worlds. This part of the galaxy is on the brink of destruction due to the invasion of the machines known as the Forgotten Legion. Our job is to stop the machines and defeat their leader, Grax. Starlink: Battle for Atlas is an action game where we control our own, self-made space ship. We use it to fight not only in space, but also in the atmosphere of many planets. The game’s world is open and dynamic, and changes under the influence of ours and our antagonists' decisions. What makes Starlink: Battle for Atlas a unique game is the fact that it is integrated with spaceship minifigures that are sold separately. A sandbox game developed by Morgondag, a Spanish studio. The player assumes the role of a lone astronaut who searches for a new home in the unwelcoming interplanetary space. At the core of the gameplay lies exploration of space, gathering new materials and technologies, and devising new parts for eight modifiable ships. The protagonist can also be developed — the experience points we gather while playing can be spent on enhancing skills from the extensive skill tree. The available specializations include exploration, technology, the ability to find and extract raw materials, and typical survival talents. The characteristic feature of RymdResa is its retro visual layer and the original soundtrack composed by Tom Croke and Pat Jacobs. It is also worth noting that the game world is generated procedurally so every playthrough not only offers a different space map but also unique challenges to tackle.
