A science-fiction, sandbox action game with a focus on multiplayer mode. It was created by Hello Games, company known for the colorful arcade production Joe Danger. The game is set in the distant future in the yet uncharted parts of the cosmos, and the gameplay is presented in two forms. We explore the successive corners of the universe piloting a spacecraft, like we do in typical space-sim productions. Upon landing on a newly discovered planet, the game switches to first-person view.

Star Wars: Battlefront II is a sequel to the 2015 multiplayer FPS game and the fourth game in the cult series that was started eleven years earlier by Pandemic. Unlike the previous game, Battlefront II offers both a complex multiplayer mode and a single player campaign set right after the destruction of the second Death Star. Iden Versio, the game's protagonist and the leader of the Empire's special forces, is given the task of avenging the Emperor.

It resulted in a certain kind of gold fever — people started to explore other planets on their own, driven by the desire of getting rich quick. The open world of the game is procedurally generated, and the surfaces of planets and moons are made of voxels.

This part of the galaxy is on the brink of destruction due to the invasion of the machines known as the Forgotten Legion. Our job is to stop the machines and defeat their leader, Grax. Starlink: Battle for Atlas is an action game where we control our own, self-made space ship.

This is the debut from the independent developer Squad. The game is an unusual simulator requiring the player to develop their own space program from scratch. Kerbal Space Program combines features of many genres, but the most important part here is an extensive ship editor, which allows the player to design and build their own, unique spacecraft. The ship is then supposed to fly and land safely on a moon of the Kerbin planet.

Strategy 2024

An expansion to the space strategy game Stellaris, developed by Paradox. Stellaris: First Contact focuses on titular first contacts with pre-FTL civilizations, introducing new origins and ethics, an updated observation system and cloaking technology.

Simulation canceled

An extremely ambitious expansion to the Elite Dangerous space simulator, which is being developed from 2014. Odyssey offers, for the first time, the opportunity to explore and fight on the surface of the planets on foot and from a first person perspective.

RPG 19 May 2021

A continuation of the popular Sunless Sea developed by Failbetter Games. This time around, the action of the game is set not in the depths of an underground ocean but in the mysterious cosmic space known as “The High Wilderness”, which Queen Victoria wanted to use as a foundation for the New British Empire. The main protagonist of this story is an outcast, who objects the rule of the iron fist imposed by the Queen. During the game, a player observes the action from the top-down perspective.

Sequel of the warmly received production of Little Green Men studio, which combines features of traditional 4X strategy with elements of RPG and space simulator. The plot of the game takes us back to the vast universe of Gemini and tells the continuation of the story begun in the first installment of the series. The axis of the action is the conflict between the ruling Empire and the rival rebels, called the Gemini League.
