The main protagonist is Morgan Yu – a man or a woman, depending on the player’s choice. Morgan is a part of a scientific project working towards enhancing the human race. Throughout the game he / she has to face hordes of aliens with unique features and abilities. Some of these abilities can be adopted by Morgan and utilized in creative ways. Gameplay revolves around two main aspects – the first one being exploration (during which one can acquire gold he can give to the encountered settlers), while the second one focuses on expanding the settlement by erecting production buildings, creating the tools for the settlers, and building diverse fortifications, which prove useful after dusk. During the night, one’s domain is attacked by vicious trolls and a player has to pay careful attention to his crown, as when it falls into enemy hands, the game is over. Luckily, a player can unlock numerous perks on his adventures to stand a better chance against the increasingly powerful foes. The game features simple, yet pleasing to one’s eye pixel-art visuals.
