A sequel to the 2013 arcade fighting game Injustice: Gods Among Us by NetherRealm Studios, known for the latest Mortal Kombat games. Like in its predecessor, in Injustice 2 you play as the characters from the DC universe, fighting each other in violent duels. The game features minimal plot, in which Batman and his supporters try to rebuild the society, but at the same time have to fight against Superman and his allies. Among the chaos, a new danger appears, threatening to wipe out all of humanity. Mechanics-wise, Injustice 2 is a spectacular Mortal Kombat-like 2.5D fighting game, although it's not as violent. You can play as either a hero or a villain; available characters include Superman, the Flash, Batman, Supergirl, Aquaman, Atrocitus and Gorilla Grodd. The sequel also allows for modifying your chosen character. During the gameplay, you earn new equipment, which can alter not only your character's appearance, but also their abilities.
South Park: The Fractured But Whole (XONE)

Another installment in an RPG series based on the Comedy Centralí cult adult-oriented cartoon TV series. The title is a direct sequel to South Park: The Stick of Truth released in 2014. However, unlike that game, this one was created by an Ubisoftís subsidiary. Once again you play as the New Kid, whose family just recently moved in to South Park. This tim, Cartman and his group play the roles of superheroes, making up the vigilante group of Coon & Friends. They have to face a new danger, the villainous Professor Chaos. In terms of gameplay mechanics, the game is similar to its predecessor, combining classic RPG elements with turn-based combat, further spiced up with a big doze of nasty humor invented by the creators of the TV series: Matt Stone and Trey Parker.

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 is a sequel to the 2013 platform/action game LEGO Marvel Super Heroes developed by Traveller's Tales. This time we will have to face Kang the Conqueror who travels in time and causes turmoil in various eras across the history. Once again we will be able to play as several dozen Marvel characters, including Thor, Hulk, Doctor Strange, Spider-Man, and Guardians of the Galaxy. Gameplay focuses on exploration (we will visit Wild West, ancient Egypt, 2099 New York, and other times and places as we play), combat, and solving simple puzzles and riddles. The game offers a single player campaign and a multiplayer mode (co-op and PvP arena battles) for up to four players.
Batman: Arkham Knight (XONE)

The fourth installment in the action game series, featuring the titular comic book superhero. The game was developed by Rocksteady, the studio which had previously worked on Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City. The plot depicts the next chapter of Batmanís adventures. This time, the hero must face Scarecrow, who successfully terrorized Gotham City. A coalition has also formed against the Dark Knight, composed of extremely dangerous criminals such as Penguin or Harley Quinn, and led by the eponymous Arkham Knight. The developers have remained faithful to previously proven solutions and gameplay mechanics. However, several changes have also been implemented, such as the ability to knock out several enemies at once. A brand new feature is the introduction of the famous Batmobile, which can be used to traverse the virtual Gotham.

An action game based on the popular comic series published by Marvel Comics. The game was developed by High Moon, studio known mostly for its Transformers games. The story of Deadpool: The Video Game focuses mostly on the antics of the sarcastic protagonist. The mercenary is trying to have his revenge on Mr. Sinister who caused Deadpool to fail in completing one of his contracts. In order to complete his objective, Deadpool joins forces with X-Men and travels with them to Genosha Island where the villain is building an army. The gameplay features dynamic hackíníslash action focusing on delivering effective combos. The developers had ambitions to show the distinctive humor typical for the comic iteration. The character frequently talks directly to the player, commenting on his actions or giving instructions on how to deal with enemies.
Saints Row IV: Re-Elected (XONE)

The fourth installment in a series of popular action games. Saints Row IV was developed by Volition, initially cooperating with THQ, later, with Deep Silver. When it comes to the plot, it is a sequel to Saints Row: The Third. An alien invader called Zinyak wishes to take control over the Earth's women and resources. Execution of these plans can be prevented only by the members of the Third Street Saints gang. However, Zinyak manages to capture the leader of the gang and holds them as a prisoner within a virtual simulation of the city of Steelport. Assuming the role of the gang leader, the player has to find a way back to reality and stop the invasion. Saints Row IV offers several new mechanics, such as superpowers the protagonist has at their disposal (superhuman force and speed for instance).

The second season of Batman: The Telltale Series, which debuted in 2016. In this adventure game by Telltale Games (the developers of such titles as The Walking Dead: A Telltale Games Series and The Wolf Among Us: A Telltale Games Series) the player follows the darker and darker story of Bruce Wayne and his superhero alter-ego. This time Batman has to challenge both Joker and Riddler as well as a merciless federal agent who has just came to the city of Gotham. The story is split into five episodes, the first one of which launched in August 2017. In the game you get to explore small locations, talk to characters met there, play through QTE sequences and, of course, make difficult moral decisions that determine how the story unfolds. Batman: The Telltale Series - The Enemy Within features actors that made the appearance in the first game. Batman is starred by Troy Baker, while his arch-nemesis Joker by Anthony Ingruber.

Another installment in a bestselling action-adventure game series based on the license of the LEGO bricks. This title is a result of cooperation between the developers from Travellerís Tales and the Marvel company. Once again, players visit the amazing world of comic superheroes. The story is based on the Avengers film (2012) and its sequel Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015). Therefore, you can play as one of the numerous Marvel characters known from both the graphic novels and films, including Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk, Black Widow, Thor, Loki, and Hawkeye. In terms of gameplay, Lego Marvelís Avengers is not much different from other games in the series, such as LEGO Marvel Super Heroes. Gameplay is presented in third-person perspective and it boils down to exploration, solving puzzles, gathering collectibles, and fighting with opponents.

The title was created by Travellerís Tales Studio, experts at LEGO video games (e.g. LEGO The Lord of the Rings, LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean, LEGO Harry Potter). Players can become Spider-Man, Iron Man, Hulk, Thor, Captain America, and other superheroes, who are asked by Nick Fury from the S.H.I.E.L.D. organization to save the world from villains and other dangers. The developers stayed true to the well-proven gameplay mechanics that combines elements of action, brawler, and adventure game. As always, the game is filled with unlockable extras, and features a cooperation mode in split screen.

A compilation of two remastered versions of action-adventure games from the Batman: Arkham series with all DLC packs. The refreshed versions were created by Virtuos, a company which previously created other remastered games. Batman: Return to Arkham consists of two games: Batman: Arkham Asylum from 2009 and Batman: Arkham City from 2011. The first title takes place in a mental facility taken over by Joker and other villains. The second part takes place in an isolated district in which especially dangerous criminals were locked. Both games have open locations and action-based mechanics. Whatís characteristic for the series is spectacular combat based on combo system Ė the longer the series of attacks, the stronger the heroís hits. Batman also has access to technologically advanced gadgets which are used not only for combat, but for traveling through the game world and for solving riddles as well. The games featured in Batman: Return to Arkham compilation offer improved graphics powered by Unreal Engine 4.
Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite (XONE)

The fourth full-fledged installment of the popular series of arcade fighting games in which characters known from Capcom games are facing Marvel Comics superheroes. In Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite two antagonists of both universes combine into one powerful creature known as Ultron Sigma. He is trying to take control over both worlds. In order to stop the villain the heroes of both dimensions have to find four Infinity Stones and face a group led by the so-called Jedah Dogma. Similarly to previous entries in the series, the title is a three-dimensional fighting game in which players participate in two-on-two battles. The fights take place on three-dimensional arenas and they include most famous Marvel heroes and characters from Capcom games. The Infinity Stones are a new feature Ė they provide warriors with additional abilities during the combat.

A MMO game that takes place in the Marvel universe. The game was developed by Secret Identity and it uses free-to-play distribution model. Microtransactions can be used for buying some items and improvements. The plot of Marvel Heroes focuses on the fight against Doctor Doom, who intends to shape the reality by using a dangerous device called Cosmic Cube. The player assumes the role of one of the fan favorite superheroes, such as Spider-Man, Captain America, Thor or members of the X-Men, and tries to stop the villain and his minions. In the game the player will explore familiar places from the comics and battle hordes of enemies. As the user progresses through the game, they can develop their character and equip him or her with more powerful items.

Another episodic adventure game developed by the experienced American studio Telltale Games, who had produced many highly acclaimed video games based on famous films, books, and comic books, such as Back to the Future, The Walking Dead, and Game of Thrones. Batman: A Telltale Game Series takes you into the grim city of Gotham, however, unlike Rocksteadyís popular action game series, Telltale Gamesí production focuses on Bruce Wayne himself, showing his moral dilemmas and the burden imposed on him by the constant fight against corruption and crime. In terms of gameplay the title does not stray far from the studioís previous productions. As always, the key element of gameplay is making tough choices that influence the way the story unfolds Ė and not just within one chapter but across the entire season.

An action adventure sequel to the 2012 The Amazing Spider-Man. Developed by Beenox Inc, a Canadian studio also responsible for such games featuring the Marvelís superhero as Spider-Man 3: The Game, Spider-Man: Edge of Time and Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions. The story in the game loosely translates the adventures from the movie directed by Marc Webb into a video game setting. Players, who assume the role of the titular Spider-Man, have to find the assassin who murdered Peter Parkerís uncle - Ben. During the game, the player has to face numerous comic-book villains, including Electro, Kingpin, Black Cat, Green Goblin, and more. The sandbox gameplay mechanics give the players the freedom to explore the virtual version of Manhattan while completing assigned tasks.

Next installment in a bestselling game series devoted to LEGO bricks and developed, as usual, by Travellerís Tales studio. This title is Warner Bros'. response to the growing popularity of franchises like Skylanders or Disney Infinity. This is the first game in the series that uses real LEGO minifigures, which are transferred into virtual word through a special port. When it comes to gameplay mechanics, the game is not much different from other titles in the series, still being a third-person action-adventure game. You play as various LEGO characters who have to stop evil Lord Vortech from annihilating humanity. The game is available for purchase in several editions devoted to different franchises. Starter pack includes figurines of Gandalf, Wyldstyle, Batman, and Batmobile. However, you can buy individual packs of characters featured in the Return to the Future franchise, LEGO Ninjago sets, DC Comics, or The Lord of the Rings trilogy.

Another installment in the popular arcade game series from the LEGO brand. It is also the third game depicting the adventures of the legendary hero from the DC universe. It was developed by Travellerís Tales, known for many other productions in the LEGO series. The story focuses on the struggle between the Justice League, led by Batman and other comic superheroes ó and a villain called Brainiac who wants to shrink our planet and include into his disgraceful collection. The game will take us from the streets of Gotham City into space and other, not yet visited, regions of the DC universe. The gameplay mechanics are based on proven solutions, although some novelties were introduced as well. Among the latter, we can find the simultaneous use of various abilities, hacking mini-games, as well as levels where we operate a space fighter or in zero gravity.

The third installment in a popular action-adventure game series for kids, set in an expansive universe of films and cartoons of The Walt Disney Company. As many as five game developers worked on this title: Avalanche Software, Ninja Theory, Sumo Digital, Studio Gobo, and United Front Games. In accordance with the tradition of the series, Disney Infinity 3.0 lets you synchronize collectible figurines with the game in order to unlock virtual characters. Upon doing so, you take part in various adventures in one of many Disney worlds. The third installment in the series introduces 5 new worlds coming from Star Wars, Marvel universe, and the animated picture Inside Out. Of course, there are also new heroes and an improved version of Toy Box with new multiplayer modes. Disney Infinity 3.0 retains the cartoonish artwork characteristic for the series. The game supports all figurines and power discs from previous editions.

A sequel to the action RPG by Activision, set in the Marvelís superhero universe. The game was initially released in 2009 and then remastered with PC and the 8th-generation consoles in mind. The plot of Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2 starts when the S.H.I.E.L.D. comes across traces of dangerous criminal activity. Mysterious creatures equipped with state-of-the-art weapons and advanced technology stand up to a team of superheroes that consists of Captain America, Spider-Man, Wolverine, and Daredevil, among others. The playerís task is to discover who is behind the entire scheme. Mechanics-wise, the production does not deviate significantly from the solutions of its predecessor. The most important novelty is the fusion system that allows two different superheroes to use one special power. The gameís plot can also develop non-linearly, depending on the choices made during dialogues.

An action RPG set in the Marvel Universe. Originally, the game was released back in 2006, but its remastered edition came out ten years later for PCs and eighth generation consoles. The plot focuses on the evil Doctor Doom, who once again tries to execute a plan of taking control over the world, this time by forming an organization of super-villains. When a help request is sent from the headquarters of a government agency known as S.H.I.E.L.D., the greatest heroes arrive to remedy the situation, among them Captain America, Spider-Man, Thor, Blade, Wolverine, the Thing, and Ghost Rider. Before each level, the player gathers a team capable of completing the objective. Then, they begin to exterminate the enemies, and ending the level with a boss fight. The game offers an extensive combat system and the player makes use of various famous abilities of their chosen superheros. As the player progresses, they can upgrade the superheros' costumes in order for them to acquire different, useful combat abilities.
Batman: Arkham Knight - Batgirl: A Matter of Family (XONE)

The first story DLC for the game Batman: Arkham Knight, developed by WB Games Montreal, the creators of e.g. the first installment in the series. The story takes place before Arkham Asylum. You play as Batgirl, who, together with Robin, sets out to rescue Commissioner Gordon, kidnapped by the Joker. During the game you visit a brand new location of Seagate Amusement Park, built on an oil platform. This is where you fight Joker's mooks and face new main quests and side quests. Since Batgirl is not as strong as Batman, but possesses incredible hacking skills, the gameplay is slightly different from that in the core game. You can, however, switch between characters to use their unique abilities when necessary.
