Batman: Arkham Knight (XONE)

The fourth installment in the action game series, featuring the titular comic book superhero. The game was developed by Rocksteady, the studio which had previously worked on Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City. The plot depicts the next chapter of Batman’s adventures. This time, the hero must face Scarecrow, who successfully terrorized Gotham City. A coalition has also formed against the Dark Knight, composed of extremely dangerous criminals such as Penguin or Harley Quinn, and led by the eponymous Arkham Knight. The developers have remained faithful to previously proven solutions and gameplay mechanics. However, several changes have also been implemented, such as the ability to knock out several enemies at once. A brand new feature is the introduction of the famous Batmobile, which can be used to traverse the virtual Gotham.

A team-based brawler from the creators of Rogue Legacy, which features old school stylistics. In Full Metal Furies we land in an alternative version of Athens. The city and its surroundings are terrorized by titans and other mythological beasts. The players play as the eponymous Furies, whose mission is to restore the order using modern means of defense, including all kinds of firearms. We observe the events from the isometric perspective as the characters keep walking to the right and eliminate all enemies encountered on the way. Full Metal Furies offers four playable heroines, making it possible for four players to cooperate – you can also play alone together with AI-controlled characters, while being able to freely switch between them. Many enemies are immune to specific types of attacks, thus forcing you to select appropriate weapons. The game also features a progression system and crafting mechanics which allow you to construct new items based on the schematics you find along the way.
Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 (XONE)

The fourth major installment in a popular fighting game series set in the famous ninja universe of Naruto. This game series has been developed since 2008 by Bandai Namco Entertainment. Storywise, the game is a direct sequel to the previous installments in the series, focusing on the latest chapters of the manga. In the story mode you explore the game’s world, meet the characters from the anime and manga and take part in spectacular duels focusing on unique special abilities of each hero. The other game mode is the fighting mode, in which you participate in duels on dedicated arenas. For the first time in the series, the game features QTE in some of the attacks. Moreover, lots of changes were introduced when it comes to combat mechanics and damage system. As this is the first game in the series to be released on the eight generation consoles, the visuals have seen a significant upgrade. Created with cel-shading technique, the artwork closely resembles the anime.

A compilation of two remastered versions of action-adventure games from the Batman: Arkham series with all DLC packs. The refreshed versions were created by Virtuos, a company which previously created other remastered games. Batman: Return to Arkham consists of two games: Batman: Arkham Asylum from 2009 and Batman: Arkham City from 2011. The first title takes place in a mental facility taken over by Joker and other villains. The second part takes place in an isolated district in which especially dangerous criminals were locked. Both games have open locations and action-based mechanics. What’s characteristic for the series is spectacular combat based on combo system – the longer the series of attacks, the stronger the hero’s hits. Batman also has access to technologically advanced gadgets which are used not only for combat, but for traveling through the game world and for solving riddles as well. The games featured in Batman: Return to Arkham compilation offer improved graphics powered by Unreal Engine 4.
Dynasty Warriors 9 (XONE)

Another full-fledged installment in the popular series of third-person perspective action games with tactical features. The series is developed by the Japanese studio Omega Force. The story of Dynasty Warriors 9 is loosely based on the novel Romance of the Three Kingdoms that describes the Chinese civil war that occurred during the 2nd and 3rd century. The player can choose from a few dozen of varied characters, some of which are well known from the previous entries in the series. The rest are completely new characters or ones from other games from this developer. The gameplay focuses on real-time battles with hundreds of participants. The title was released as part of the 15th anniversary of the series and it introduces some important novelties to the saga, including a modified combat system and a large open world that contains the entirety of China. The key to victory lies in proper usage of available weapons and special abilities of various characters and in taking advantage of the topography of the battlefields.

An action game based on the popular comic series published by Marvel Comics. The game was developed by High Moon, studio known mostly for its Transformers games. The story of Deadpool: The Video Game focuses mostly on the antics of the sarcastic protagonist. The mercenary is trying to have his revenge on Mr. Sinister who caused Deadpool to fail in completing one of his contracts. In order to complete his objective, Deadpool joins forces with X-Men and travels with them to Genosha Island where the villain is building an army. The gameplay features dynamic hack’n’slash action focusing on delivering effective combos. The developers had ambitions to show the distinctive humor typical for the comic iteration. The character frequently talks directly to the player, commenting on his actions or giving instructions on how to deal with enemies.

A compilation of four games from a popular series developed by CyberConnect2, based on a hit manga created by Masashi Kishimoto and its animated adaptation. The collection contains: Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm, Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 2, Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 Full Burst and Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4. Besides the standard versions of those games the collection also includes all DLCs that were released for them – including the content-rich Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 - Road to Boruto, released in 2017. The oldest games that are included in this collection come with improved graphics. All games in the collection are traditional fighting games where the core of gameplay is to have fights between the titular ninja warriors. Each of the characters have their own fighting style and many unique special attacks. Besides having a story mode, Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Legacy also offers various multiplayer options that allows to play through the Internet or in a split-screen mode.

The player assumes the role of a warrior, who wishes to join the eponymous group of elite guardians of peace and stability. The heart of gameplay is the complex system of short-range combat. The game lets you use four fighting styles interchangeably, all of which offer a wide array of melee weapons, starting with character’s own fists. Gameplay allows for executing various strikes, counters, blocks, and dodges. Players can also design their own combinations of attacks that match their preferred tactics. Absolver offers rich background story, and the events in the entire game world are shaped by successes and failures of individual players. The game is focused mainly on multiplayer. Players can join up in groups and together explore the rich world of Adal and battle. Absolver stands out with its original art style based on simple geometry and bright colors.
Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 - Road to Boruto (XONE)

A content-rich expansion for Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4, a fourth entry in the series developed by Cyberconnect 2. The plot of the expansion, called Road to Boruto, goes beyond the original manga and animated series, drawing from side entries such as Boruto: Naruto the Movie, a full-length animated movie, and the comic series Boruto: Naruto Next Generations. As a result, we can relive the events that took place after the conclusion of the Naruto Shippuden series, and take control of completely new characters, which are a part of the next generation of ninja warriors (many of them are the children of the well-known heroes). The expansion doesn’t change the game mechanics in any way, focusing on introducing a new storyline and previously unknown characters such as titular Boruto (son of Naruto) or Sarada (daughter of Sasuke and Sakura). Aside from that, the Hidden Leaf Village received new locations to explore.

The complete edition of the game DmC: Devil May Cry released for PC and seventh generation consoles in 2013 as the fifth installment in Capcom's popular hack-and-slash franchise. The game, which is a reboot of the whole series, takes place simultaneously in two worlds: the human one and the infernal one. The player is cast in the role of an uncompromising warrior named Dante, whose task is to stop the hordes of demons that made it to the human world through interdimensional portals. The game's mechanics are based on those of its 2001 predecessor, and the protagonists can use two distinct modes: Angel and Devil. The edition updated for eighth generation consoles features several patches in the combat system and improved graphics in 1080p. It also includes all the DLC packs released for the game, and extra exclusive content (e.g. new outfits and difficulty levels).

An enhanced version of the fourth installment of the popular slasher game series by Capcom, previously released in 2008 for PC and consoles. The game introduces a new protagonist called Nero, a member of the Holy Knights. Having witnessed his fellow Knights being slaughtered by Dante, known from the previous installments, and vows to take revenge on the murderer and learn why he became an enemy of the Order. During this dangerous quest, Nero has many puzzles to solve and hordes of demons to defeat. In some missions you play as Dante himself. The special edition features improved 1080p graphics, three new playable characters which you can use instead of playing as Nero or Dante, and the Legendary Dark Knight Mode, previously unavailable for consoles. It's complemented by a set of extra outfits and skins for the playable characters.

The third installment of the series of fighting games Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm that is based on the popular manga created by Masashi Kishimoto. The game was developed by Japanese development studio CyberConnect2 in cooperation with Namco Bandai. During the game the player can assume the roles of their favorite characters from the Naruto universe (including Naruto Uzumaki, Sasuke Uchiha, Sakura Haruno, Kabuto Yakushi) and participate in spectacular fights against rivals controlled by artificial intelligence or other players. The visuals of Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 were developed using the cel-shading technology. Thanks to that the game looks similarly to its animated archetype. Full Burst edition contains additional missions, characters and story plots.

A beat’em up title with side view developed by independent studio Paw Print Games. Bloody Zombies is set in London, a city infested by a plague of the titular undead. The only hope for the city comes in form of four heroes who have nothing to lose and try to clear the streets of the metropolis using their fists and more or less improvised weapons. We move towards the right side of the screen while eliminating hordes of enemies, with distinctive and powerful mutated bosses. The combat system is based on brutal and spectacular attacks that can be chained to create even more powerful combos. However, the key to success lies in using surrounding objects along with active and passive powers of each hero. We can play both by ourselves and in cooperation mode for up to four players. All of this is presented in two-dimensional, cartoonish visuals.

The gameplay mechanics of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in Manhattan combine elements known to all fans of the series: dynamic combat with spectacular combos, the possibility of switching between characters, a large dose of humor, and tons of pizza, with the latest standards in gaming, such as open-world environment with a myriad of primary and secondary quests, advanced combat system, or online features. The production offers an extensive single player story campaign as well as the possibility to join forces with others in an online cooperation mode for up to 4 players. The title’s visuals are generated by a fully three-dimensional graphics engine that employs cel shading, which gives the game a distinctive cartoonish appearance.

The series takes place in a world that is a combination of feudal Japan, magical fantasy and modern technologies where one of the most important roles in shaping the geopolitical situation belongs to villages that train ninja warriors who are later rented out for money. All three games in the collection have the same basics and the goal of the games is to fight with other warriors that have their own fighting style and unique special attacks. However, all titles are thoroughly remastered and thanks to that they offer a smoother animation, better anti-aliasing and a higher resolution.

A stylish game developed by Team Colorblind, an independent studio based in Phoenix, Arizona. The game combines elements of two seemingly incompatible video game genres – turn-based strategy and brawler. The story is set 20 years before the Spanish Conquistadors came to America, and the player is tasked with expanding the Aztec empire, collecting taxes, and handling various randomly generated events. As far the game employs the turn-based strategy convention, the player might have to use brutal force to punish citizens who do not pay their taxes, or slaughter everyone infected during an epidemic when all other attempts to cure them have failed. What is worth mentioning, the game is based on broad historical knowledge resulting from the developers’ passion, who implemented into the game over 30 Aztec cities and different types of Aztec warriors, all of which makes for a faithful representation of the authentic locations and factual units. Aztez features an original, monochromatic visuals brought to life only by the red color of the blood gushing all over player’s screen.

In this game, the player assumes the role of a Valkyrie – ghostly witch with incredible powers sent by Odin to Midgard (the realm of men) to fight off a monster invasion. As the main protagonist becomes mortal upon arriving on Earth and can be struck down by enemies’ blows, the only way to complete the quest of saving the Earth is to possess the bodies of Vikings and use their combat skills in battles to come. In Die for Valhalla!, the players, who see the action from a side perspective, can experience Vikings battling hordes of adversaries and large bosses. The Valkyrie uses ethereal weapons to attack enemies, while the possessed Vikings represent various classes like the Berserker, who masterfully wields two axes, or the Hunter who is able to quickly change his position and attack from a distance with a bow. Interestingly, en experienced Valkyrie can take the control over not only the Vikings, but also hostile warriors, monsters, and objects. What is more, Valkyries can summon fallen heroes from Valhalla. Apart from the single player mode, the game offers a cooperative multiplayer mode allowing up to 4 players to join their forces against the monster invasion. The Unity engine, on which the game is based, features appealing visuals resembling those of the well-established Don’t Starve.

A classic beat'em up game developed by Bandai Namco Entertainment. The game is based on the license of the Power Rangers TV series popular back in 1990s. The titular teenagers are the characters the players assume control of in the game, supported by mysterious Zordon. The heroes have to face the forces of evil represented by the ominous Rita Repulsa and Lord Zedd - they want to destroy the Earth and try to achieve it by sending in more and more powerful monsters. The game offers five characters the fans of the TV series are familiar with - the heroes differ both in terms of their weapons and special abilities. The player is required mainly to eliminate subsequent enemies and bosses with melee weapons and advanced attacks based on various martial arts. The game comes with cartoonish 2D visuals referring to the aesthetics popular in the 1990s. Both music and dialogues were taken from the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers TV series.

An original beat ‘em up developed by Korean studio QuattroGear. The players assume the role of Ligeia, a witch that embarks on a quest to find her missing sister. The search leads her to Usher, a town infested with hellish beasts. To learn more about her sister’s whereabouts, Ligeia has to face hordes of dangerous demons. Black Witchcraft is seen from a side perspective. The gameplay comprises of exploration, platforming, avoiding traps, as well as combat. The heroine has access to powerful spells and two ghosts – William Wilson and Pluto – that can change into weapons. The graphics are one of the highlights of the game, with characteristic gothic design of the environment, and character models built from hundreds of smaller animated parts.

In the game, characters from such series as Uncle Grandpa, Clarence, Regular Show, The Amazing World of Gumball and Adventure Time team up to defeat the nefarious shard creatures and bring back peace to the world. You can play as six characters, each of them using distinct attack techniques and abilities. The gameplay is based on classic action arcade games, combining the elements of shooters, fighting games and platform games, and consists of traversing levels full of obstacles, eliminating enemies, and battling with slightly more challenging bosses. Apart from the single player mode, the game also features a co-op mode for up to 4 people.
