An action game with roguelike and metroidvania elements by indie French studio Motion Twin. During the game, you explore a grim castle, whose elements (such as chambers, cloisters, and sewers) are procedurally generated. Given the permadeath system, it means that each new gameplay is a fresh experience, during which you can discover new parts of the fortress. An important aspect of Dead Cells is combat, which is very difficult.

There is no set goal; your task is basically to shape the randomly-generated world around you. At first you only have a few basic tools, which allow you to dig and find resources, chop wood, and create simple structures. As the game progresses, due to the extensive crafting system, you discover better tools, allowing you to create advanced materials and to fight monsters.

An exploration game that eludes standard genre classification, developed by independent studio Chucklefish. Starbound combines elements of a 2D sandbox platformer and a strategy game. As you play, you explore and colonize other planets, provide for their inhabitants, construct useful items and vehicles, as well as fight hostile aliens. The game is set in a procedurally generated world,providing a great amount of freedom to the players.

Hollow Knight is a 2D metroidvania game developed by the indie studio Team Cherry. The game takes us to a fantasy underground world located bellow the city of Dirtmouth. The place attracts numerous adventurers, who disappear without a trace when they enter it. We play as an adventurer who decides to face the challenge and find riches, fame, and the answers he is looking for in that underground world. The game is presented from a side-scrolling perspective.

RPG 2024

Action RPG with metroidvania elements. In Meifumado we go to the postapocalyptic world. We take on the role of the hero, who wanders the dangerous Yamatai island, and his actions will shape the further fate of this piece of land.

Platform action game enriched with RPG elements. In Gestalt: Steam & Cinder as Aletheia we discover the dark secrets of the steampunk city of Canaan, exploring various levels and facing mechanical opponents.

Vigil: The Longest Night is a classic metroidvania set in a universe of dark fantasy, characterized by a high level of difficulty, challenging combat, grotesque monsters and an interesting graphic design. Glass Heart Games is responsible for the creation of the game.

An expanded edition of the warmly received platform game developed by Moon studio in 2015. The story of Ori and the Blind Forest focuses on the titular spirit of the forest who is trying to learn something about itself and the world that surrounds it. The game lacks any dialogues and the story is told by using the gameplay and mute cutscenes. As for the mechanics, the game belongs to the subgenre called metroidvania.

We assume the role of a young and inexperienced forest spirit who will try to learn more about himself and the world around him during his long journey. In the game we explore vast areas full of hidden passages and shortcuts while solving puzzles and facing challenges testing our agility.

A two-dimensional metroidvania action game developed by independent studio Thunder Lotus Games – the producer of the warmly-received Jotun. In Sundered, the player assumes the role of a wanderer who travels through a ruined, post-apocalyptic world. The story of the game is strongly connected to its mechanics, as the price of the progress of the protagonist is paid with his humanity – what powers the player decides to wield, will have impact on the ending of the game.

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is an action-adventure platform game set in a gothic horror setting. The game is a spiritual successor to the Castlevania series. The person in charge of Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night was Koji Igarashi, who previously worked on the Castlevania series over the course of many years. The game revolves around exploring a large castle, which is crawling with demons the players need to fight against, you also develop your character and gather items.

In Song of the Deep, we assume the role of Merryn, whose father has disappeared during a fishing trip. When one day she has a dream that her father has been imprisoned in the sea depths, the little heroine decides to build a small submarine and embark on a rescue mission.

Batbarian from Unspeakable Pixels studio is an action game in pixel art style, containing also features of RPGs, platformers and puzzle games. We play the role of a barbarian who, together with his companion Pip (a magical bat), travels through dark caves.

The main character of Flynn: Son of Crimson is the title boy, whose shoulders are responsible for stopping the expansion of the hellish dimension of The Scourge, which is absorbing more and more parts of the continent.

Action platform game with metroidvania elements. In Bushiden we play as a ninja warrior who follows the trail of his lost sister through various stages, jumping on platforms, avoiding traps and eliminating hordes of enemies.

A spectacular, colourful 2D platformer. In Eagle Island we play the role of a boy accompanied by a trained owl - we use the animal to fight our enemies and solve puzzles. The title was developed by the independent studio Pixelnicks.

A metroidvania type game, made in a platformer convention. In Airhead we take control over two heroes living in symbiosis. Body and Head travel through a dystopian land and learn its secrets, trying to regain the heart that gives the other one life-giving oxygen.

A 2.5D action platformer metroidvania. Mars 2120 stars Sergeant Anna Charlotte, traversing the first human colony on Mars, learning its secrets, fighting robots and horrifying monsters.
