Darkest Dungeon (iOS)
RPG 24 August 2017
A dark fantasy cRPG developed by debuting studio Red Hook. The story is set in a dark, medieval-like universe. While exploring ruins of an old castle and its dungeons, you face off against forces of darkness that overwhelmed the land because of the reckless actions of its previous sovereign. As you delve into the depths, you discover the dark history of a family who brought the evil upon the world. The gameplay focuses on dungeon crawling - dungeons filled with traps and crawling with monsters that need to be dealt with during turn-based combat sequences. An original idea is the sanity indicator of your heroes. Each team member has different personality and reacts differently to what is happening around him/her. Therefore, while playing you should keep an eye on their well being and fear levels, alleviating their stress by drinking alcohol or brawling, if needed.

The plot takes us to the popular Forgotten Realms universe where we follow the adventures of a six-member party led by the protagonist, an orphan brought up by his foster father. The hero embarks on a dangerous journey to face forces of evil and uncover a horrifying truth about his or her origins. The gameplay is based on the rules of the Dungeons & Dragons system. The remastered version of the game features, first and foremost, improved graphics and entirely new content in the form of quests and items created in cooperation with the developers of the original for the purposes of this edition.
Baldur's Gate: Siege of Dragonspear (iOS)
An official expansion for the Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition from 2012. It was developed by Overhaul Games and serves as a story bridge between the first and the second installment in the Baldur’s Gate series. In the game, we face a sinister crusade led by a warrior known as the Shining Lady who is also a bhaalspawn. Siege of Dragonspear introduces four completely new companions that can join our party. The title also offers a new character class, new locations, quests, items, spells, and so on. On the technical side, the expansion does not deviate from the original game released three years earlier. We can start the adventure using a character imported from Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition, and then export it to Baldur’s Gate II: Enhanced Edition upon having finished the expansion.
Darkest Dungeon: The Crimson Court (iOS)
The first expansion for the 2016 dungeon crawler RPG Darkest Dungeon by Red Hook Studios. The add-on utilizes the gameplay mechanics from the core game — you complete a team of heroes and set out to explore the eponymous Darkest Dungeon. Your goal is to find enormous riches, with which you can expand a shabby hamlet, also serving as your base. Like in the original Darkest Dungeon game, the characters of The Crimson Court suffer from typical human ailments — some of them may go berserk, while others may panic when surrounded by darkness. The game places a strong focus on blood, which is a theme connecting the items you find and your enemies. The expansion also marks the first appearance of vampires, creatures with a unique set of characteristics and abilities.

Planescape Torment: Enhanced Edition (iOS)
RPG 11 April 2017
Planescape Torment: Enhanced Edition is the remastered version of the classic cRPG game. It was created by Beamdog. Unlike the other remasters from the studio, Planescape Torment: Enhanced Edition has no new story elements. Instead, Beamdog focused on the technical aspects. Visuals were improved (on PC we can even play in 4K), just like the user's interface. Game's soundtrack was also remastered. Chris Avellone, designer of the original game, supervised some of the changes introduced by Beamdog. Most of them were tweaks to the game mechanics and fixes of bugs that were left in the original release. In Planescape Torment: Enhanced Edition we play as The Nameless One, a mysterious immortal hero who tries to find the truth about his past and the reason behind his immortality. We are accompanied by diversified characters (among them we will find Morte, a floating, talking human skull) in our adventures. Learning the stories of the citizens of this unique world and doing quests are the primary focus points of the game. Combat is present in the game, but it is just a small part of it and in most cases can be avoided. As we progress, we level up and advance our character and party members. It is worth mentioning that even though the game is based on the second edition of Advanced Dungeons & Dragons The Nameless One's character is based on our deeds in the game, not chosen during the character creation process.
The Banner Saga (iOS)
RPG 02 October 2014
Inspired by the Nordic mythology, a cRPG developed by the independent studio Stoic, whose members worked on, for example, Star Wars: The Old Republic. The action takes us to a world where fratricidal bloodshed between the gods led to chaos and wars. This is an "on the road" type of story, divided into two main plot branches, telling the stories of two Viking parties trying to escape from the threat posed by a mysterious, stone-like race called the Dredge, born as the result of gods’ experiments. Set in fantasy realities, the gameplay combines adventure and RPG elements with a turn-based combat system. With game's progress, your party gains experience and becomes more and more powerful. Also, the decisions you make will exert heavy influence on the plot. The game features amazing 2D graphics, employing art style similar to that of Walt Disney productions.

The game features isometric view, and as you play you gradually expand your team by recruiting heroes you encounter on the way, each of them providing your team with unique abilities. The game’s turn-based combat emphasizes both tactical depth and strategic elements. Spellcrafter’s characteristic feature is its unique system of spell casting. In order to cast a spell you have draw a specific pattern on the screen – the quicker and more accurate you are the more powerful the spell is.
