Action 22 April 2014
A multiplayer free-to-play shooter, developed by Crytek. The game takes a player to a futuristic battlefield, where he assumes the role of a soldier representing one of four available classes: Medic, Engineer, Sniper, and Rifleman. The key to success is to use the full potential offered by the unique classes’ abilities. Warface delivers a number of game modes – players can enjoy multiple PvP modes (solo and team deathmatches, Storm, Plant the Bomb), as well as the PvE modes, in which one has to force his way through a city controlled by enemy troops controlled by the AI. To top it all, the game also features the Special Operations mode, in which players have to stand their ground against numerous enemy waves. Warface draws its inspirations from other games developed by Crytek – it is based on CryEngine 3 technology; characters are extremely mobile and can quickly adapt their munitions. In comparison to similar games, Warface stands out in terms of its visuals.
Kingdom Under Fire II (X360)
A fantasy real-time strategy with cRPG elements. Kingdom Under Fire II is set in a fantasy realm called Bersia, where three conflicted factions – Human Alliance (elves and humans), Dark Legion (orcs and ogres) and Encablossa (mutants and monsters) – wage a bloody war against one another. The player takes command of one of the conflicted sides and tries to turn the tide in their favor. While the Blueside’s production lets you play solo in a story-driven campaign, the game’s main asset is its expansive, MMO-inspired multiplayer mode, including such elements as e.g. social features.
