The core gameplay is built upon competition between two teams of players: terrorists and counter-terrorists. Eliminating opponents is rewarded with cash, which can be spent on new gear and weapons.

Another installment in the popular arcade racing game series by Namco Bandai, started on the first generation PlayStation console. The producer of the title is the experienced Bugbear studio, known for its previous Ridge Racer and the cult FlatOut series. In contrast to the previously released parts of the game, the latest installment of the series is distributed in the free-to-play model and focuses on multiplayer competition in the style of Need for Speed World.
