Your Shape: Fitness Evolved 2012 is something between a video game and a virtual personal fitness instructor. With Kinect motion controller, the game moves the player to perform real physical exercises, thus bringing real results. The game is a sequel to Your Shape: Fitness Evolved released in 2010. Again, it was produced and released by Ubisoft company.

The game offers numerous options, allowing you to customize the exercise program to suit your needs. For those who do not know much about fitness, there are some pre-designed modes with their own exercise plan. Player Projection system is helpful too. It is a tool able to scan the player's body shape and closely map it on the screen. It also keeps track of the player’s performance and informs them of any errors. Thanks to this, the game is almost like having a training session with a living instructor.

Your Shape: Fitness Evolved 2012 is not only about fitness. The program also allows you to train yoga or martial arts. Besides, 2012 edition features Latin dances and Zen techniques.

The creators enriched the training program by adding several mini-games. These include dance missions or those requiring properly balancing your body. Moreover, it is also possible to compete in multiplayer modes. The results from trainings and mini-games are sent to a special social network integrated with Your Shape: Fitness Evolved 2012. This makes it possible to share your achievements with friends and track their current progress.

It is worth noting that at the time of the game’s launch, Ubisoft challenged all players. They wanted the total amount of calories burned by Your Shape: Fitness Evolved 2012 players surpassed one billion.
