PS3 X360

Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit for PS3 and X360 is the continuation of the fighting game series featuring the characters from the Dragon Ball universe. Burst Limit lets us play duels known from the animated series up to the battle against Cell. The game features all main characters, starting from Goku and Raditz, through Yamcha, Kruirin, and ending with Androids and Cell.

Mechcanics

Those who read the manga or watched the anime will surely recognize many cutscenes that are played between fights. The actual gameplay is observed from the side, from an observer’s perspective. In combat, we have a set of attacks at our disposal that can be combined into powerful combos. We can use the Ki wave, Kamehameha, and Genki-dam. Every warrior has their own unique techniques like Goku’s Kaioken or Garlick Gun that Vegeta used during his first fight on Earth. We can also decide whether or not we want to put a time limit on a given fight.

Game modes

One of Burst Limit’s highlights is its multiplayer mode. In it, players from all around the world can fight duels with their favorite characters.

Technical aspects

Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit for PS3 and X360 utilizes the technical capabilities of the next-gen consoles, thanks to which it offers detailed graphics. Fights take place in a three-dimensional environment. Special attack animations are very colorful and spectacular. What’s more, the developers put in a lot of effort into recreating the characteristic effect of energy cumulating around the characters and the blurring of the screen when two energy waves collide.
