Blam! Machinehead PC

Blam! Machinehead is a three-dimensional shooter, indirectly resembling games from the Descent series, created by Core Design Ltd., known for such titles as Rick Dangerous or the first installments of the Tomb Raider series. The title was issued by Eidos Interactive.

Action Blam! Machinehead takes us to a postapocalyptic world destroyed by a biomechanical virus. In the game we play the scientist Kimberly Stride. She has to face the sinister doctor Machinehead, who has managed to combine his own DNA with software taken out of control of machines and wants to destroy the remnants of civilization. Our brave heroine sits at the helm of an airborne, futuristic Vorpal Blade equipped with a wide arsenal of deadly weapons - from machine guns to rockets and a flame thrower. Thanks to the instructions received by the radio from his assistant Orville McCandle, he must complete a whole series of tasks to prevent Machinehead's psychopathic plans from being implemented.

The title is distinguished not only by a very atmospheric atmosphere, but above all by a large number of interesting missions. Crossing the wilderness of the postapocalyptic Earth comes to us, among other things, to escort a train across enemy territory, find a torture chamber of a crazy scientist, or destroy the cocoons of spiders roaming the area. Ultimately, however, everything comes down to finding the keys that activate the gate to the next level.

The enemies we face are diverse. These include smaller or larger flying machines and watchtowers, clown zombies and mutant animals such as dog bats. While playing, keep an eye on the number of ammunition you have and the level of energy. Both elements can be increased by finding objects scattered around the map.

Blam! Machinehead only offers single player mode. In terms of audiovisual setting, the title looks good. Colourful, although maintained in darker shades, the graphics well reflects the atmosphere of the postapocalyptic world. Sounds and music are maintained at a good level.
