At the beginning of the 22nd century, humanity is making enormous progress in the exploration of space. There are regular flights between the systems, and where the conditions are best, colonies are established. Intensive expansion, however, carries great risks, which is why the military IPC decides to constantly patrol the galaxy, offering safety to defenceless transporters and facilities established on distant planets.

This is where the action of Alien Breed begins. The year is 2191. The pilots of the spacecraft IPCC Miraculous, coming back to Earth from a six-month service, receive an order to check the situation in the research institute ISRC4, which for a long time has not given a sign of life. Landing in the hangar of a giant station, Johnson and Stone don't suspect that a horde of ruthless aliens are wandering through empty corridors. Their extermination now rests on the shoulders of brave pilots.

Alien Breed was created in 1991 with Commodore Amiga users in mind. Only several months later, Team 17 decided to publish the conversion to PC. The expectation paid off, because the "tinplate" edition is nicer and more developed in relation to the memorable prototype. The authors used a 256-colour palette and added some new levels.

The aim of the struggle is to break through a dozen or so huge labyrinths, launch a system of self-destruction of the station and a daring escape to the hangar, where IPCC Miraculous awaits our return. Although finding the way in the tangle of corridors is already a big enough challenge, the authors have decided to add a huge number of aliens, the extermination of which is even necessary if we dream of successfully completing the mission. During the game we will find additional ammunition for our puppet, keys to closed doors, as well as money, which will be useful for the purchase of weapons in the terminals we meet from time to time. The latter will also show us new goals and inform us about the current situation on the battlefield.

In Alien Breed we observe the action with a bird's eye view, just like in the memorable Gauntlet cycle. Graphics and animation are at the highest level, as well as sound with atmospheric musical motifs. If you don't like to play alone, you can invite a companion to your computer to take control of the second commandos and thus make it easier to complete the task.
