Assassin's Creed III: The Tyranny of King Washington – The Betrayal is the second of three episodes that are part of an additional story campaign for Assassin’s Creed III on PC, X360 and etc.. The game, released at the end of 2012, is another important chapter of the Assassin’s Creed universe, in which another episode of the eternal war between Assassins and Templars take place. This time Ubisoft - the developer of the game - took the players on a trip to the eighteenth-century North America. The main protagonist of the game is Connor, also known as Ratonhnhaké:ton, a half-blood Indian that fights against injustice.

Story

Assassin’s Creed III told a fictional story that was strongly based on historical events. The Tyranny of King Washington takes a different path: it tells a story set in an alternative world in which George Washington is consumed by lust for power and he tries to take control over the country. The mad ruler will stop at nothing to achieve his goal. He quickly becomes a brutal tyrant. Ratonhnhaké:ton does not intend to let that happen. Together with the protagonist the player tries to stop Washington from destroying the country.

Gameplay

The story was divided into three separate episodes. Each of them contains few main missions related to the central plot and many side activities (challenges, missions etc.). The expansion also changes the game mechanics, mostly by giving new abilities to the protagonist. During his battle against Washington’s army, Connor will learn how to use such skills like bear power (that increases strength) or wolf power (that gives camouflage). He will also use Warpaint (that increases general statistics) and Alpha of the Pack (allows summoning an allied wolf pack).
