Adventure at the Chateau d’Or

Versailles Mysteries: The Royal Spy is the second installment of Versailles Mysteries: Oscar and the Athanor. Developers from the Nemopolis studio have remained faithful to the historical realities of the 17th century and the classic point-n-click gameplay mechanisms.

The action of the game once again takes place at the court of the King-Sun. Oscar - a boy sent from the future, he was poisoned. However, his faithful friend Totiri comes to his aid. Together, the young heroes must stop the cunning enemy who wants to destroy King Louis XIV at all costs.

As befits a traditional style adventure, the basis of the game is exploring locations, talking to NPCs, solving puzzles and performing commissioned missions. During the game, the player can try their hand at several logical mini-games, including besieging the Luxembourg fortress or designing a Maryla water machine.

The difficulty level of the game is not too high and it should take a maximum of about 15 hours to complete it. The creators also took care of an intuitively simple control system based on the point-n-click interface, which is well known to adventurers.

Versailles Mysteries: The Royal Spy is no different from the original. Developers from Nemopolis once again used two-dimensional, hand-drawn backgrounds and three-dimensional character models. The whole aesthetic experience is complemented by an atmospheric soundtrack. There was also a useful encyclopaedia containing a lot of interesting information about the 17th century France.
