Forgotten Memories for PSV, PC and etc. is a survival horror developed by a small studio Psychoz Interactive. Forgotten Memories is the first game the studio developed and released for other platforms than mobile devices.

The Plot

The game takes place in an abandoned mental hospital where some horrifying have happened in the past. An investigation leads two police inspectors, Rose Hawkins and Nathan Howard, to that hospital on their search for a serial killer and a girl he kidnapped named Eden Swank. As it turns out, the place is not as abandoned as everyone thought, and our heroes will have to face nightmares that dwell in the dark and face their own fears and weaknesses. After a short time the investigation turns into a fight for their lives and a desperate search for a way out from the haunted hospital.

Mechanics

In Forgotten Memories for PSV, PC and etc. we have from the third person perspective as we control Rose Hawkins, the game’s protagonist. The game combines elements from both modern and oldshool survival horrors. We will use a wide range of weapons when facing our enemies, but it won’t be uncommon for us to simply run away from them to survive. Key to survival lies in cooperation with Rose’s partner, Nathan. Like in many survival horror games, we will have to face powerful bosses and solve puzzles and riddles.

Technical Aspects

Forgotten Memories for PSV, PC and etc. works on Unity Engine. Even though the game may not look as good as some of the modern AAA productions, Psychoz Interactive used some new technologies, like dynamic lighting and shadows, to make the Forgotten Memories climate more disturbing and gripping. The game has no multiplayer modes.
