Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA F

Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA F 2nd is the sixth game in a series of music-arcade games produced by SEGA starring various Japanese virtual vocalists like Hatsune Miku. Their digital voices have been made available in professional music programs - thanks to them, fans around the world have created thousands of popular songs from dozens of music genres. Several dozen of these songs are featured in the games from the series. The creators included new costumes for the characters, as well as songs and music videos (some of them come from previous editions of the PSP).

Mechanics

The gameplay in Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA F 2nd is no different from what the series has already offered - the developers decided to use a well-established and proven formula and options. During the game, players must feel the rhythm of the music, and then quickly and sensitively press the gamepad buttons displayed on the screen. Sometimes, we have to hold one of them for a longer time, releasing the finger at the right moment. The stars introduced in the previous part of the series have also returned to the game, which in the case of PS Vita are activated by rubbing the touchscreen. Although the controls seem to be extremely simple, at high difficulty levels, the game requires a great deal of coordination and dexterity.

Game modes

As usual, the production provides us with several types of modes. In the basic mode, we have access to several levels of difficulty and several dozen tracks. In order to score each of them, you need to collect about 70% of possible points. Then, we unlock another song with the accompanying video and costumes. The game also contains a mode in which we arrange a virtual room for each of the characters. We can buy gifts and various kinds of gadgets, which are accompanied by short animations. The virtual currency is the points gained during the process of counting subsequent songs. Players can also create their music videos for their songs or music in mp3 format. The creators have included an advanced editor, allowing for the creation of choreographic arrangements, choice of scenery and light, camera operation, as well as editing.

Technical aspects

The graphics in Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA F 2nd haven't changed much. The only novelty are new outfits, animations and music videos.
