Bedlam 2: Absolute Bedlam is a sequel to the 1996 science fiction shooting, which tells the story of modern tanks fighting with the forces of rebellious robots. Mirage studio is responsible for the creation of the continuation, and the mechanics of the game is practically no different from its original, concentrating on a set of new, even more diverse and expanded missions.

The action of the game takes place six months after the events shown in the first part. After defeating an army of rebellious machines, it quickly turns out that a large part of the enemy forces fled to regroup and hit once again with surprise. In this situation, Major Kern, known from the previous installment, is summoned again, together with his commanded RAT tank squadron. His task will be to crack down on a dangerous and insidious opponent on 30 consecutive missions, divided into four campaigns of varying difficulty.

As in the previous part of the game, during the game we control a team consisting of up to three machines - at any given time we control only one of them. Before each mission, thanks to the cash earned in action, our units can be equipped with seven types of weapons. In addition, during the execution of particular tasks we can find a variety of finds, such as ammunition, extra cash or points. Subsequent scenarios - just like in the previous one - consist in eliminating the enemy's forces, levelling its base with the ground or saving hostages. Each of the main tasks is accompanied by a number of optional side objectives. During the game we can also solve simple riddles, such as deactivating the electric fence, starting the lift or using the right teleport to reach inaccessible areas of the map.

As far as the binding is concerned, the game does not differ significantly from its precursor. A noticeable difference is the much larger maps, which with their complexity can lead the player to frustration. New to the game is the introduction of multiplayer mode, designed for up to 8 players.
