Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai DX is an improved version of Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai 2 - spin-off of Hatsune Miku series: Project DIVA, which debuted in Japan on the 3DS handhelda in 2013. Developers have once again made available a portion of songs recorded using Vocaloids, i.e. virtual vocalists, headed by the title Hatsune Miku. All in all, forty-eight full versions of the tracks that fans love, including Age Age Again, Koneko no Paya Paya, Cendrillon, Adolescence and others.

The game, as in previous versions, consists in pressing the appropriate buttons to the rhythm of the music. Due to the fact that the title was released on 3DS, the creators also used a touch screen to play the game. Players can change their preferred control system in the options. In addition, each of these modes has different degrees of difficulty, which can also be modified, for example by changing icons or changing the vocals in a given song. Briefly writing, the fun can be customized under your own viewer's name. In addition, the developers took care to be able to watch their favorite music videos, add comments in Mirai Theater, create dance layouts in Dance Studio and compose their own songs in My Tune. In addition to all this, the game also offers special cards that can be shared through StreetPass.

The production was created in cooperation with the Japanese company Good Smile Company, engaged in the production of Nendoroid figurines. Thanks to this, all the characters in Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai DX have a specific look that characterizes these toys.
