Final Fantasy VII Remake

A modern remake of one of the most popular jRPG games of all times, developed for PlayStation 4 by the long-standing publisher of the Final Fantasy series, Japanese company Square Enix. The game is set in a universe that combines technology and fantasy elements. The player becomes a former soldier and mercenary, who joins an insurgent group called AVALANCHE. Its objective is to put an end to activities of the Shinra corporation that drains the planet’s energy, leading to an imminent end of the world. The remake stays true to the original mechanics, which boil down to exploration, conversations, character progression, and turn-based combat. The game features brand new graphics, as pre-rendered backgrounds gave way to fully 3D locations. Furthermore, the cartoonish character designs were dropped and look much more realistic.

Final Fantasy VII Remake is a remade version of one of the most popular jRPGs in history. The game was developed by the Square Enix Company and released on PlayStation 4 platform.

The story presents a world known as Gaia, in which industrial technologies interlock with traditional fantasy elements. The main hero, Cloud Strife, is an ex-soldier and a mercenary who joins the resistance movement known as Avalanche. Together with several companions he stands against a powerful corporation called Shinra. The company is exploiting life energy of the planet and by doing so may lead to the destruction of the whole world. The game has been announced as a title divided into several parts, each offering the volume of content equal to a full-sized game.

Final Fantasy VII Remake on PlayStation 4 diverges from the basic foundations of the original game. The game is classic Japanese role-playing game in which the player can explore locations, talk, develop his characters and fight. The combat takes place using a modern, dynamic battle system similar to the one employed in the latest installments in the franchise. Each member of the party has his own unique abilities.

The most important change when comparing the game to the original Final Fantasy VII is a completely new graphic design. Instead of pre-rendered backgrounds, the game offers fully three dimensional locations which greatly improve the satisfaction of exploring the virtual world. Additionally, the character designs no longer feature super deformed images. Instead, all characters look in a much more realistic way.
