Euro Truck Simulator 2: Vive la France!

The third official expansion pack for Euro Truck Simulator 2 from the Czech SCS Software studio - a game which has remained very popular since its release. The Vive la France! expansion does not introduce any changes to the gameplay mechanics or technology employed by the game. It focuses mainly on expanding the game area with the territory of virtual France. In the base game, only a small part of this country was recreated. Now, the players receive the virtual representation of the entire country and a much more detailed map. Apart from that, the already existing regions of France (Paris for example), were rebuilt in order to match the level of details delivered by the expansion.

This is Euro Truck Simulator 2 expansion pack.

Euro Truck Simulator 2: Vive la France! for PC / Windows is the third official expansion for Euro Truck Simulator 2 - developed by SCS Software, released in 2012. The developer has made similar games since 2002, when the memorable Hard Truck 18: Wheels of Steel was released. Many years after its release, Euro Truck Simulator 2 is still a popular game, even though new installments were published, such as American Truck Simulator.

Gameplay

Euro Truck Simulator 2: Vive la France! for PC / Windows does not bring any changes to the gameplay mechanics. As the title suggests, the expansion focuses mainly on introducing the territory of virtual France to the core game. Although France was already available in the base game, there was only a tiny chunk of it for the player to explore behind the wheel of a truck. The expansion adds the rest of France and focuses on increasing the level of detail. Moreover, the expansion rebuilds the already existing territories of France (Paris for example), in order to match the level of detail brought by the new territories.

Technical aspects

Euro Truck Simulator 2: Vive la France! for PC / Windows does not bring any technological changes or improvements to the core game, released four years earlier. As usual, the creators from SCS Software recreated the specifics of the area reverently. Thus the atmosphere of large French cities (with all their distinctive places) and small, picturesque villages is given relatively faithfully.
