Manual Samuel for PC, PS4 and XONE is an unusual adventure game developed by Perfectly Paranormal. The game combines features of the famous Monkey Island with elements of the crazy Octodad: Dadliest Catch.

Plot

Manual Samuel for PC, PS4 and XONE tells a story of the titular character, an ordinary guy who has just died as a result of an accident. On the other side, he meets the Death itself, with whom he makes a pact. If he manages to survive a day performing all such tasks as breathing manually, his soul will be spared from eternal tortures. All of that is complemented by love and friendship-related issues.

Mechanics

The gameplay resembles the previously mentioned Octodad: Dadliest Catch, for the controls are difficult and they lack precision. The player is required to perform all the existence-related tasks. Thus the protagonist mainly breathes in and out and moves the extremities in order to walk (each one controlled separately). The player goes to bathroom, makes eye blinks, dresses up, brushes their teeth, etc. It does not sound interesting at first, but in reality, the game is full of both hilarious and surprising situations.

Technical aspects

Manual Samuel for PC, PS4 and XONE is a two-dimensional game featuring cartoonish stylistics. The action takes place mainly in a house, so the player explores such interiors as a bathroom, a wardrobe or a living room.
