Dreamals: Dream Quest, available on XONE, PC and PS4, is a combination of a two-dimensional platformer and a puzzle game in which we control animals that can only move in one of the few basic directions. The game was developed by XINESS Games studio, the same team that developed Dreamals released in 2015.

Mechanics

Dreamals: Dream Quest uses the same gameplay model as the Dreamals<. The title combines the features of a platformer and puzzle game. In the campaign, players will have to pass one hundred levels of increasing difficulty. In each level, we will find a group of animals that we can control. However, they move in only one of the three basic directions. The toucans are jumping upwards, the deer are running left and the desert foxes are moving only to the right. Depending on their needs, players "activate" selected animals. When two animals meet, they combine to create a completely new creature with the skills of both "parents". Unlike its predecessor, Dreamals: Dream Quest allows us to separate animals, which gives us additional strategic opportunities. The goal is to reach the key that opens the portal to the next level. Players will face a full range of traditional platformer traps, such as spiked panels, transmission lanes, cannons and portals.

Technical aspects

The graphics in Dreamals: Dream Quest don't differ significantly compared to its predecessor. We are still dealing with a colorful and cartoon style.
