Lucinda Greenís Equestrian Challenge

An equestrian sports simulator developed by IR Gurus. Lucinda Green, a six-time Badminton Horse Trials winner, is the game's face and she is also players' mentor – she informs about the sports' rules, how to take care of a horse and how to train with them. Before we try to win, the first thing that we need to do is to create our character – we can equip them with various accessories and outfits (we can do a similar thing with our horse). In addition to that we also need to complete a practical test from the knowledge given by Green. After that we can participate in championships where in order to win we need to not only have a good time and style of our passage but also a presentation of a rider and their horse. The graphics in Lucinda Green's Equestrian Challenge aren't very detailed, however, the way in which the game is presented can remind of a TV transmission of a real equestrian competitions – this is because they are presented from a few different cameras. It should also be mentioned that the game was developed for people of all ages and with different skill levels – thanks to that the game can be enjoyed by beginners and more advanced players.

Lucinda Green's Equestrian Challenge is a equestrian sports simulator developed by IR Gurus studio. The game allows players to not only participate in competitions but also in trainings and taking care of their horse. The game is available on PC Windows and PlayStation 2.

Mechanics

The game uses Lucinda Green's name Ė she is a world class rider and a six-time Badminton Horse Trials winner. Players can meet her virtual version immediately when they start the game because the developers made her a mentor that teaches players about the basics of the gameplay. She also informs them about the rules of equestrian sports and how to take care and train their horses. After completing the practical test from the knowledge given to us by Green we can participate in competitions where in order to win we need to not only have a good time and style of our passage but also a presentation of a rider and their horse.

Game modes

Lucinda Green's Equestrian Challenge was developed for people of all ages and with different skill levels Ė thanks to that the game can be enjoyed by beginners and more advanced players. Players can participate in actual existing tournaments that take place in Badminton, Burghley, Adelaide and Kentucky. We can also find real riders such as Philip Dutton, Karin Donkers and Mary King.

The game also allows us to create our own characters and equip them with various accessories and outfits. The same thing can be done with our horse. It should also be mentioned that with progress we get more items which means more options for customizing.

Technical aspects†

Lucinda Green's Equestrian Challenge is presented in full 3D. The graphics are simple and don't have a lot of details. Thanks to various camera angles we can observe the competitions in a similar way to how the real ones are presented in TV.
