Mechanics

Windjammers introduces a unique sport similar to air hockey – two players attempt to throw a disc to the goal guarded by the opposing character. The game includes both offensive and defensive maneuvers and is supervised by a time limit – the player with the higher amount of points wins the match. We are left with varied courts, including sunny beaches or a fully-fledged stadiums, as well as six players varied in terms of looks, statistics, and pitch types which include standard ones, through cranks, up to counters and powerful “superthrows”.

Game Modes

Aside from a single player mode, Windjammers offers a full-fledged multiplayer module, with online matches supervised by official rankings (only on PlayStation 4) and splitscreen local area multiplayer.

Technical Aspects

When it comes to visuals, Windjammers for PSV and PS4 does not differ much from its 1994 version. Nevertheless, the game received a number of upgrades, including support for high-definition or panoramic video modes.
