Heavy Metal Machines

Heavy Metal Machines is a MOBA game developed by the creators of the space MMO Taikodom. In the game two teams of players fight with each other in post-apocalyptic car battles. Action in Heavy Metal Machines is presented from an isometric point of view and each player controls a single car. Team bases are located on the opposing sides of the map. The team that manages to deliver a bomb to the opponent’s base and destroy it, wins. There is only one bomb, so players have to fight for it (like for a ball during a football match). Heavy Metal Machines offers many characters, each of them having a unique vehicle with special abilities. Cooperation between the players is very important in Heavy Metal Machines. There are three roles the players can take: transporting the bomb to the opponent's base, intercepting enemies, or supporting their own team (by repairing their cars or interrupting their opponents). These roles are not assigned to any character, but the characteristics of particular cars can make some of them much easier.

Heavy Metal Machines for PC / Windows is a unusual free-to-play MOBA game with optional microtransactions that was developed by Hoplon Infotainment, creators of the space MMO Taikodom.

The Plot

Heavy Metal Machines for PC / Windows does not offer any single player campaign and focuses only on multiplayer, therefore it doesn’t have any sophisticated or complex plot. The game takes place some time after an apocalypse annihilated almost all of mankind. Those who survived use heavily modified cars to fight for what was left of the planet’s natural resources.

Mechanics

Gameplay in Heavy Metal Machines for PC / Windows focuses on matches between two four-player teams. The action is presented from an isometric point of view and each player controls one vehicle. Team bases are located on the opposing sides of the map. The team that manages to deliver a bomb to the opponent’s base and destroy it wins. There is only one explosive, so players have to fight for control over it.

There are many characters available, each of them having their own vehicles characterized by a large set of unique functions that work similarly to special abilities in other MOBA games. Like in many multiplayer competitive games, team play is very important in Heavy Metal Machines. There are three roles players can take: transporting the bomb to the opponent's base, intercepting our enemies, or supporting their team (by repairing their cars or interrupting their opponents). These roles are not assigned to any character, but the characteristics of particular cars can make some of them much easier.
