Wu-Tang: Taste the Pain PS1

Wu-Tang: Taste the Pain (also known as Wu-Tang: Shaolin Style) is a 3D fighting game released on PS1, in which up to four players can fight simultaneously. The game uses the image and music of the popular rap group Wu-Tang Clan.

Plot

Wu-Tang: Taste the Pain tells the story of the adepts of wu-tang, an ancient kung-fu variety. Their master is kidnapped by an evil warrior, Mong Zhu, who wants to learn the secrets of the wu-tang style. The adepts set off on a chase, which will take them from North America directly to the heart of China.

Mechanics

Compared to other 3D fighting games, Wu-Tang: Taste the Pain is distinguished by the fact that up to four warriors can participate in clashes at the same time. In addition, the depletion of the entire health bar doesn't automatically exclude them from the battle. Instead, players lose one of the several "lives". If we lose them all, we lose the fight. Battles last until one player or team remains in the ring.

Other interesting features are special finishing attacks, inspired by the "fatality" known from the Mortal Kombat series. These moves can be performed at the end of the duel - each character has five variants, four of which must be unlocked first.

The game offers a story mode, in which, besides fighting standard duels, the player often has to complete other types of challenges. These include, for example, performing combos consisting of a specific number of hits or visiting designated locations.
