Crusader Kings II: Jade Dragon for PC / Windows is an expansion to a popular strategy game published in 2012. Jade Dragon is not a standalone expansion – in order to work, this add-on requires one to own the base game. Both the base game and the Jade Dragon expansion have been developed by Paradox Developments.
As the title suggests the Jade Dragon expansion for PC / Windows implements into the game the presence of China – not as a playable faction, however, it serves as an outside empire, which indirectly affects the turns of events, especially within India and Transoxiana.
Moreover, the add-on introduces an entirely new menu in the game, which describes the status and needs of the Chinese Emperor, which makes it easier for a player to meet the ruler's expectations. A player can also become a vassal of China, which can be quite beneficial; however, refusing to obey the Emperor might prove very dangerous
As befits the Crusader King II series, particular characters play a significant role in the game. Princes and raiders regularly leave the borders of China in order to seek fame and fortune throughout other countries. One can also profit from the Silk Road, depending on the stability within the Middle Kingdom. This expansion introduces also Chinese artifacts, new items, character portraits, and eight new casus belli.
