Johnny Bazookatone PS1

A platform game developed Arc Development, in which we take control of a young musician trying to thwart the plans of the ruler of hell.

Story

In 2050, Johnny Bazookatone is one of the leading artists who rule the music scene and, through his excellent songs, care for peace and harmony on Earth. This state of affairs is unacceptable to the ruler of hell, Mr. Diablo, who decides to destroy everything. To unleash the chaos, he kidnaps almost all the rock musicians. Johnny sets out to save them. He also has some personal bussines to discuss with the villain who stole his beloved guitar named "Anita".

Mechanics

Johnny Bazookatone is a two-dimensional platformer in which the hero moves right most of the time, dealing with arcade challenges and enemies he encounters. The title character is equipped with a unique instrument, capable of emitting sound waves that hurt enemies. The devs have prepared two types of attacks - a regular one and a stronger sound that requires charging, which can even penetrate walls. Johnny is also able to stay in the air for a long time with his unusual weapon, which helps him, among other things, to overcome larger chasms. The production is characterized by a very high level of difficulty, resulting, among other things, from the small number of available lives.

Technical aspects

The production is characterized by a rare combination of 2D and 3D graphics. Three-dimensional elements include character models, among others. The game is also distinguished by the soundtrack, composed with help of the guitarist of the band Bon Jovi, Richie Sambora.
