The Sims 3 is another part of the bestselling series which began in 2000. The game is a simulation of human life from birth to death. It contains all events which are part of our life like first kiss, marriage, retirement, etc...

The developers have made many improvements in comparison with The Sims 2 and its expansions. In the third part of the game, while creating a new character the player can choose 5 heroes from almost one hundred characters of different personality. While making the decision you should consider strong points of each character because these elements have a considerable impact on the game. For example the Sim which is considered to be wise learns much faster and consequently has a greater chance to get promotion at work. There has been reduced the number of needs from eight to six. The Sims have their moods - it depends on their experience of positive or negative events – those which occur daily as well as those which happen seldom (for example, birth of a child or death of a close relative).

Together with game is introduced dream system, which is similar to the desires system of the The Sims 2. For example, when you buy your child a telescope you can make him/her to start dreaming of being a professional astronomer. While getting to know an attractive person, the Sim may decide that he/she wants make friends with the person. It is worth mentioning, that for unrealized dreams there are no penalties - they become simply forgotten and replaced by others.

There have been made small changes in the professional sphere. The user is able to control working hours in some way. The user can decide of going to work earlier or stay longer at workplace. You as a player can also determine relationship to the supervisor – if you want to get a promotion in an easy way, you should just crawl to your boss. There is also a chance system which is directly related to career. Look at the example to find out how it works. When your Sim is in a restaurant, and the dishwasher is broken, the Sim gets a chance to display by washing piles of dirty plates.

However, the biggest innovation in the comparison to the previously issued parts of the game is the lack of boundaries between parcels. The specific locations are no longer only cut portions of the virtual world, but they are part of a whole. It gives the Sim the possibility to wander around streets of town or visiting neighbors easily. Moreover, crossing the borders of the parcel does not stop the time for other members of the family - a virtual world lives its own life, and the characters controlled by the user are part of a larger whole. However, the decisions made by the player have a greater or lesser impact on the inhabitants of the area fate.
