Dead Aim is another product set in dark climates, typical for the whole Resident Evil series. This time, however, we are not dealing with a classic survival-horror. This product is one of the not very popular species of 'rifle scopes'. This means that the player focuses only on the elimination of the monsters appearing on the screen. However, it should be added that the product in question gives us a little more freedom than we would expect. In some situations it is possible to control the character from the perspective of a third person. However, freedom of movement is in most cases small. Resident Evil: Dead Aim was released only on PlayStation 2. It's also worth mentioning that the idea for the game itself is not new. Dead Aim develops ideas from Gun Survivor released on the first PSX (interestingly, in Japan the game is called Gun Survivor 4: BioHazard: Heroes Never Die).

The plot, as in almost all shooters of this type, is only a pretext for the elimination of further monsters. The player takes on the role of Bruce McGivern, sent to a ship filled with zombies in order to stop a certain madman trying to cause further spread of the T virus. As you can easily guess, this individual is a basic threat, so at the very end of the game the player will have to face it. However, this will not happen too soon, because Dead Aim is much longer than the traditional "rifle scopes". Successful completion of the game (first approach) takes about two-three hours.

The game itself is very simple. The action is observed from the perspective of the first person and the player's task is to eliminate the monsters appearing on the screen. In the course of the game you should show a lot of reflexes, otherwise there is a good chance that the opponent will be able to carry out a successful attack. In several places, the camera changes its position to a third person view. However, these situations do not occur very often. The game can be operated with many different types of controllers, such as a mouse or a special gun. Dead Aim's visual luminaire presents a similar level to other such productions. The environment is quite diverse. The game takes place at a much slower pace than House of the Dead or Virtua Cop. Unfortunately, the game does not have any multiplayer modes.
