WWII Aces is a low-budget shooting game, thanks to which the player has the opportunity to play the title ace of the skies. The whole game was set in the realities of World War II, and the game itself refers to selected events from that period, including the Battle of Ardennes. Game preparation is the responsibility of Arcade Moon development studio. It is a part of 3D People company, known for such productions as Aquadelic GT, Air Conflicts, or Attack on Pearl Harbor.

The main attraction of this game is the presence of a singleleplayer campaign. It offers a total of 72 missions. The main tasks assigned by the command are related to the need to eliminate enemy units. These can be airplanes, ground troops or ships. Only a few tasks require examination of a specific territory of the map or protection of allied troops.

Depending on the chosen campaign, the player has the opportunity to join several different sides of the conflict. Among other things, he learns from machines representing the German air force, i.e. the Luftwaffe. However, there were also units from the Soviet side or the British RAF. The game contains a dozen or so real machines known from that period. These include units such as Spitfire, Ju-87 Stuka, Mosquito and He-11.

This game also offers a fully fledged multiplayer, in which the game is conducted on a split screen. Depending on their preferences, players can try to fulfill the tasks together or eliminate each other. A maximum of two people can take part in the game.

The manufacturer has placed great emphasis on using the innovative capabilities of the Wii console controller. Properly waving the controller can simulate the performance of specific air manoeuvres - spectacular dodges or "barrels". WWII Aces' visuals present a rather low level of performance, although options for tracking rocket and bomb trajectory may be a certain attraction. Many actions are also shown in slowdown mode. Events are observed from the perspective of a third person, so you can see on the screen an airplane controlled by yourself.
