Pokken Tournament DX is an improved version of the Wii U game Pokken Tournament. In terms of gameplay mechanics, the game in topic is not much different from most popular 3D fighting games. Pokken Tournament DX offers over 20 pokemon from both the old and new installments of the main RPG series. Each of them has its own unique fight style and combo attacks. The game introduces one new pokemon that was not available in its 2016 version, Decidueye. In addition to that, the developers introduced two new game modes, Team Battle and Group Match Mode. The game also introduces a Battle replay system – we can record our matches and post them online. Pokken Tournament DX makes a good use of Switch’s unique functions and allows us to play in both handheld and stationary modes.

A three-dimensional fighting game with Pokémon. Pokkén Tournament has been made by the key creators of the Tekken and Soulcalibur series. It was initially released in Japanese arcades in July 2015. Wii U console version introduces many fixes, as well as a single player mode. Fights take the form of one on one duels on closed arenas. Players choose one of many available Pokémon, both from old and new generations of the main RPG series, including Lucario, Machamp, Suicune, Gardevoir, Pikachu, Gengar, Weavile, Charizard and Blaziken, among many others. Each uses a different fighting style and unique combos. There are also special combinations of buttons that let us summon another Pokémon as support. Pokkén Tournament lets the player face both artificial intelligence and other people, either through LAN or online.
